Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Junior status (60cr or more) Description: An overview of social studies methods instruction in the middle school classroom. Includes the study of objectives, trends, patterns and principles of organization, and techniques of instruction as it relates to social studies content areas: geography, Pennsylvania history, United States and world history, economics, and civics and government. Instruction includes assessment strategies for diverse middle school learners in inclusive classroom settings.
