or 1 Prerequisite: none Corequisite: none Dual Listed: This is dual listed with MATH 515. Description: Investigates open-ended data science projects drawn from real-world and industry contexts. Compares and evaluates appropriate analytical and statistical models to address relevant industry questions, and review, present, and critique solutions to applied case studies. Explores and large-scale, data-driven project methodologies, including problem formulation, model selection, and solution communication. Serves as a collaborative forum for data science–focused students in MACS programs, offers structured time for student mentorship from faculty and peers while developing career-focused, real-world data science skills.
