Catalog description

Prerequisite: Appropriate mathematics placement or permission of the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department chairperson. Corequisite: none Description: Analyzes and interprets numerical, graphical, and algebraic representations to model complex situations using mathematical structures and increase problem-solving skills. Focuses on polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and basic right triangle trigonometry. Integrates the development and application of effective strategies and the background mathematical topics necessary for learning and applying the algebraic content.
