Prerequisite: none Corequisite: none Restriction: none Description: Explores literature and the methods of close reading. Investigates and analyzes how literary meaning is constructed through encounters with significant literary texts. Develops understanding of how literature shapes and is shaped by its various contexts; and how literature enables critical inquiry into values. Includes literary texts by women and people from underrepresented communities. Previously Offered As: Also offered as ENGL 121.
