Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Prerequisite: 3cr of college history, or current major in any of the following: history, history/pre-law, middle-level education grades 4-8/social studies specialization, or secondary social studies Description: An introduction to United States history from the Colonial period through Reconstruction, covering such main currents as the founding of American society, the American Revolution, the making of the Constitution, the market revolution, westward expansion, slavery, the Civil War, and Reconstruction.
