Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Description: A basic course in chemistry for the non-science major. High school chemistry is not a Prerequisite. The students develop an understanding and appreciation of the process of science and of the significance of chemistry in everyday life. In addition to basic chemical principles, consumer topics, such as batteries, nuclear chemistry, chemistry of living systems, air, water, energy, and food additives, are covered.
