Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Description: The geography of the grape, its production, products, social significance, and consequences of the global wine trade are explored. Students develop an appreciation for the environmental constraints and characteristics of wines and wine regions. Field trips to visit wineries are an essential element. Verifiable proof of 21 years of age required for voluntary wine-tasting activities.
