Includes mapping culture regions; tracing settlement patterns; resource use; environmental perceptions; the interplay of urbanization, industrialization, postindustrialization, and spatial mobility; the occurrence of economically disadvantaged landscapes; and the role individuals and society have in the creation of the geographic landscape.
