Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Prerequisite: CRIM 101 or CRIM 102 or departmental permission Description: States and emphasizes the role of corrections in the social control of human behavior. Includes the history of corrections, classic and contemporary thought about the role of corrections in the criminal justice system, and a survey of correctional methods and alternatives with an emphasis on the use of incarceration.
