Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Prerequisite: CMSC 110 or equivalent Description: A discussion of the basic computer architecture elements: gates, combinational and sequential logic, hardware arithmetic, CPU, and memory structure. An examination of the languages of machines: representation of data, addressing techniques, symbolic coding, assembly, and linking. Problem solving using assembly language.
