Prerequisite: none Corequisite: none Description: Examines the current American legal system by providing an introduction to a variety of legal topics important to individuals and to business. Analyzes and explains topics such as sources of law, the court system and basic procedures, tort law, criminal law, contracts, commercial paper, intellectual property, agency, partnerships, corporations and bankruptcy. Compares and contrasts differing legal approaches from other countries with selected aspects of American business law. Examines relevant ethical concerns.
