Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 3 Credits: 4 Prerequisite: BIOL 112 or BIOL 203 or instructor permission Description: An introduction to microbiology focusing on the fundamental principles of microbial structure, modes of reproduction, genetics, and physiology. Emphasizes the importance of microbes in ecological, industrial, immunological, and epidemiological processes. Standard microbiological methods and techniques are emphasized in laboratory.
