Focuses on the evolutionary innovations that distinguish different taxonomic groups of plants. Topics include plant anatomy and physiology, growth and development, plant classification, plant ecology, and genetically modified foods. Discusses ways that plants are important to humans, ranging from food and lumber to sequestering carbon dioxide. An in-depth exploration of crop plants, including the science of biotechnology.
