Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Restriction: Admission to Step 1 of the 3-Step Process Description: Examines children’s artistic development in relation to teaching art in K-6 settings. Explores types of art programs, planning, motivation, content, and evaluation of art lessons for all students in elementary art classes, including those with special needs. Students apply theories and knowledge to the design of instructional curricula, units, and lessons, as well as practice and critique the delivery of instruction.
