Provides students with foundational texts and theories that constitute the field of art education as it exists in schools,community-based contexts, and museums. Examines multiple populations of learners including special populations through discussion, direct instruction, and collaborative projects. Synthesizes contemporary art education as a dynamic scholarly field.
