Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Prerequisite: ANTH 211 or instructor permission. Description: Provides a background in qualitative and quantitative techniques used in anthropological research. Concentrates on the ethics of research with people, formulation of hypotheses, design and use of appropriate research techniques, and data analysis. Emphasizes development of field notes, inter­viewing techniques, developing genealogies, and participant observation.
