Catalog description

An introduction to the field of business analytics, emphasizing the use of data to inform business decision-making. Students work in teams to analyze data using commonly used methods in business analytics, such as data mining, statistical inference, forecasting, simulation and optimization. Students also gain experience with effective communication of results to decision-makers. Prerequisites: BUS 305 or MATH 241 or AHS 240 or consent of departmental chairperson
