Catalog description

The course builds on knowledge in anatomy and neuroscience, by exploring the relationship between anatomical structure and function as it pertains to the performance of human occupations and injury. Hands-on experience with identified psychomotor skills, needed to become an occupational therapy practitioner will be addressed. These include goniometry, gross manual muscle testing, individual manual muscle testing, Grip and pinch testing. fine motor coordination, edema measurement, sensory testing and analysis of internal and external forces acting on a human body and the effects produced by these forces.
