MEI Innovation and Vision

Catalog description

This upper-level MEIAP addresses further specific topics as begun in MUS 207, especially highlighting introductions to the record industry, arts administration, contracts, touring, and concert promotion, among others. While providing overviews of the topics, it is not merely a historical observation; rather, it explores the topics from the context of where these sub-sets of the MEI landscape line up in today’s economy and where they might lead in the years ahead. Innovation will explored in all areas, beginning with the capabilities and ramifications of AI and other emerging technologies with regard to the topics covered. Prerequisites: Completion of 15 credits.
