Catalog description

The topic of mathematics is studied through an historical perspective with an emphasis on fitting mathematics into larger cultural, social, and scientific contexts. This course does not count towards the mathematics major or minor. Prerequisite: Successful completion or concurrent enrollment in Junior Composition; MATH 131, at least 3 additional mathematics courses numbered 132 or above, and senior status or above. Other Restrictions: Requires 45 earned credit hours or more at time of registration. Undergraduate Core Curriculum: [Upper Division Integrative Electives] Note: Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
