Catalog description
This course examines the design and development of learning and talent development initiatives for adult learners in organizational and educational settings. Drawing on research in adult learning and human resource development, the course explores how adults learn, develop, and perform across diverse social, cultural, and workplace contexts. Students apply principles of adult learning, self-directed and transformational learning, and sociocultural perspectives alongside talent development concepts to design learner-centered, inclusive, and technology-enhanced programs. Emphasis is placed on aligning learning and talent development initiatives with organizational strategy, workforce capability, and the evaluation of learning and performance outcomes. Prerequisites: HRD 276 or permission of department chair
