Catalog description

This course explores the principles, laws, and practices governing equal employment opportunity (EEO) and employee relations in the modern workplace. Students examine how federal and state employment laws affect HR policies, employer obligations, and employee rights. Topics include discrimination, harassment, affirmative action, workplace diversity, unions, collective bargaining, conflict resolution, and employee engagement. Emphasis is placed on case analysis, ethical decision-making, and developing fair and inclusive workplace practices. Prerequisites: Successful completion or concurrent enrollment in BUS 371 or approval of the department chairperson
