Catalog description
In this course, students will obtain approval for their Gerontology Practical Experience site from the Gerontology Program Director and submit related documentation, learn about professionalism in the workplace, and reflect on their gerontology practical experience. Students must pass this course to earn a Gerontology Minor. Prerequisites: EPSY 303 or AHS 302 and EPSY 305 or AHS 305 and EPSY or AHS 413 Corequisites: EPSY 451 OR an internship/practicum/ fieldwork exp. required for any major can also be applied to the minor,with advance approval of the Gerontology Program Director. The experience must be 80 hours minimum, with a dedicated emphasis on older adults.
