Introduction to biology, chemistry, geology, and physical characteristics of the oceans. Topics include sea water characteristics, life in the oceans, ocean circulation, marine geology, and global climate change. Prerequisite: One college level science course; Successful completion or concurrent enrollment in Junior Composition Other Restrictions: Requires 45 earned credit hours or more at time of registration.
