Catalog description
Designed to continue the development of the five components of reading using instructional strategies and assessment tools to enhance an understanding of reading and language arts instruction in elementary classrooms. Develops practices that support students' literacy learning through planning and implementing a meaningful reading unit in elementary classrooms. Prerequisites: Admission into the Teacher Education Program (BCP I), a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and a C or higher in ELED 290 (Reading 1) and ELED 324 (Reading 2). Corequisite: ELED 397 Note: Enrollment by departmental permission only. Course may only be retaken once in order to receive a passing grade
