Catalog description
Designed to continue the development of the five components of reading in an elementary classroom, with emphasis on phonics (encoding), vocabulary, comprehension, and teaching creative and informational writing. Develops practices that support students' literacy learning while planning and implementing a differentiated writing unit in elementary classrooms. Prerequisites: Admission into the Teacher Education Program (BCP I); a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; and a C or better in both ELED 290 and ELED 324. Corequisites: ELED 398 Note: Enrollment by departmental permission only. Course can only be retaken once in order to receive a passing grade
