Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare future elementary classroom teachers (PK-5th Grade) with the basic concepts, methods, and materials appropriate for integrating art, drama, music/dance/movement, and creative writing into the elementary school curriculum. The use of arts techniques as teaching strategies will also be modeled and practiced. Lesson planning using the arts to teach and/or reinforce subject matter will be integrated into the course. Prerequisites: Admission to BCP-1
