Catalog description

This course includes basic traffic control procedures and phraseology. Areas include a description of the National Airway System to include centers, approach control, towers, and flight service stations. Also included will be controller responsibilities and techniques, current equipment familiarization, and aircraft control adjustments. Prerequisites: AVT 140 or UMS181, with a C grade or higher, or consent of instructor.
