Catalog description

This course explores current issues in athletic training through a community-centered lens. Topics include ethics, injury risk, health disparities, and population health. Students learn strategies for delivering respectful, patient-centered care and addressing varied patient needs. Emphasis is placed on advocacy for both individual patients and broader community health priorities. Notes: Must be admitted to Masters of Science in Athletic Training Program at Indiana State University. Prerequisites: ATTR 644, ATTR 636
