MSK Assessment/Intervention II

Catalog description
In this course, students will learn and apply the basic evaluation and treatment principles that will prepare them to begin professional practice and engage in patient care. Students will learn to evaluate orthopedic injuries and develop therapeutic intervention plans to treat and rehabilitate patients, from acute injury all the way through return to activity. For each body region, students will need to synthesize their evaluative findings to develop a complete care plan for the patient, making sure to account for patient values and goals in addition to their physical and psychological limitations. Notes: Must be admitted to Masters of Science in Athletic Training Program at Indiana State University. Prerequisites: ATTR 529, ATTR 531, ATTR 528
