Catalog description

This course provides advanced knowledge in diagnostic reasoning and management of mental health disorders throughout the lifespan with an emphasis on application in various settings. Clinical experiences allow students to apply screening, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management to populations with varying comorbidities and socioeconomic backgrounds. Notes: This course has 100 clinical hours required Prerequisites: APN 614 Restrictions: Admission to the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program/certificate in the School of Nursing or consent of course instructor.
