Selection of a research problem, collection of data, types of research, the research report and use of the library in connection with the research problem. Emphasis on understanding and interpreting frequently used statistical concepts. Provides a background for the preparation of the thesis. Three semester hours of statistics at the undergraduate or graduate level, or concurrent registration required.
