Social Studies Theory and Methods

Catalog description

This course focuses on theories, and methods for social studies instruction for elementary education. Students will develop competencies in current directions regarding research, critical perspectives on diversity and inclusion, developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive content, and asset-based approaches centered in geography and history. Prerequisites: TCH 498a05 with concurrent enrollment.
