Catalog description

This course focuses on the study of theory and practice in the teaching of reading and language arts in the elementary school levels. Understanding integrated reading and language arts programs and exploring equity and diversity in the classroom, including but not limited to language, gender, race, religion, culture, disability, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Prerequisites: TCH 498a02 with concurrent enrollment.
