Catalog description

This course explores the synthesis, properties, and applications of nanomaterials and quantum materials. Students will learn about fabrication methods, characterization techniques, and the fundamental physics governing nanoscale and quantum phenomena. Emphasis will be placed on the interplay between material structure, electronic properties, and optical responses, including modern topics such as 2D materials, quantum confinement, and nanoscale photonics. Prerequisite: PHY 284
