Catalog description

This course introduces numerical and statistical methods for mechanical engineering problems. Students will explore key numerical techniques such as solving algebraic and differential equations, interpolation, curve fitting, and optimization, as well as statistical methods including probability, regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and design of experiments. MATLAB is used throughout the course. Prerequisites: MAT 149
