Catalog description

Introduction to the principles and applications of fluid statics, fluid dynamics, conservation laws (mass, momentum, and energy), similitude, and Navier-Stokes equations. Covers practical applications including viscous and inviscid flows, laminar and turbulent flows, pipe flow, boundary layers, and flow measurement techniques. Prerequisites: MEC 230 or concurrent registration.
