Analysis of deformable bodies subjected to loading including strength and deformation analyses. Topics include axial deformation (tension and compression), Hooke’s Law, torsion, bending, shear, combined loading, stress and strain transformations, and the design of shaft, beams, columns, and pressure vessels.
