Catalog description

The study of elementary counting methods, basic statistics; and elementary mathematical modeling techniques, focusing on reasoning and solving real-life problems. Department approved calculator required. Not for credit major/minor. May not be taken under the P/NP option. MAT 113 or MAT 113a01 are equivalent; repeat policies will apply. Prerequisites: Mathematics placement exam or MAT 104 or college-level math course or 60 hours and 2.5 GPA.
