An introduction to the discipline of Emergency Management. History will be explored, with a focus on contemporary emergency management. Instruction will center on how the nation, states, local jurisdictions, businesses, non-governmental organizations and others prevent, mitigate against, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters. Prerequisites: A minimum of 60 credit hours completed
