Catalog description

This course provides a hands-on approach toward using computers for creating, analyzing and understanding behavior of matter in various environments. Methods in computational chemistry based on quantum mechanics, molecular mechanics, dynamics will be introduced to study the behavior of matter of various sizes including atoms, molecules, solids, surfaces, and macro/biomolecules. Prerequisites: Not for credit if earned credit in CHE 380A37 or CHE 466A08. The following is recommended: CHE 360 or CHE 362 or equivalent with a grade of C or better
