Laboratory practice illustrating preparations and reactions typical of functional groups. First half of a 2-semester sequence. No credit will be granted in CHE 231 until credit is earned in CHE 230. Prerequisites: CHE 141;CHE 230 or concurrent registration. Not for credit if earned credit in CHE 220.
