Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive overview of human development from fertilization through birth, emphasizing both classical morphological processes and molecular mechanisms. We will not only examine embryonic processes, but maternal changes during pregnancy. Topics include gametogenesis, early embryonic patterning, organogenesis, placental function, uterine function, and how their contributions to a successful pregnancy. Prerequisites: BSC 196 and BSC 197.
