Seminar: Gender & Identity in Art and Visual Culture

Catalog description

Advanced seminar covering gender and identity in art and visual culture with a focus on modern and contemporary art. We will use feminist and gender theory and the idea of intersectionality (a term that considers class, gender, race and sexuality) as a lens through which to look at the work of various artists and individuals. Prerequisites: Not for Credit if earned credit in ART 311a02.
