Doctoral Experience (DEC)

Catalog description

The doctoral capstone experience is an in-depth exploration of a specific area of focus within the community such as: clinical practice, research, administration, leadership, program and policy development, advocacy, education, or theory development (ACOTE, 2018). Students will utilize concepts learned throughout the curriculum to develop, plan, and implement a capstone project within the chosen area of focus. Projects will represent sustainable measures to improve the lives of the individuals within the community. Results will be collected and analyzed for dissemination.
