Catalog description

This hybrid course provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate an understanding the principles of teaching and learning and to apply the principles as teaching assistants in an academic setting. The course includes online, asynchronous instruction in learning theory, instructional design, and curriculum development. Students utilize the knowledge and skills acquired in the online environment to integrate evidence into practice and demonstrate clinical reasoning through peer mentoring. Entry-level leadership, values and ethics are reinforced through content specific to professional boundaries and responsibilities, board certification, liability and state licensure laws.
