Catalog description
This is the second of two courses focusing on integrative health, which considers the dynamic interaction between mind, body, spirit and community. This course expands on concepts of wellness and spirituality previously introduced and also integrates the contribution of culture to well-being and occupational engagement. Students develop increased awareness of the influence of patients' values, beliefs, culture, and spiritual traditions on healthcare practices. There is an emphasis on the interplay between integrative health, well-being, quality of life and meaningful participation.
