Catalog description

This is the first of a two-course series integrating occupational therapy theory with assessment. Students are introduced to the Theoretical foundations of OT, including the Occupational therapy practice framework: Domain and process (4th ed.) (AOTA, 2020), the importance of the history and philosophical base of the profession, and the process of theory development. Students are also introduced to the evaluation process and concepts associated with evaluation and assessment. One occupation-based, client-centered model of practice are applied to a clinical case client story, integrating theory with assessment.
