Catalog description

This course focuses on foundational concepts that underlie the practice of occupational therapy, i.e. occupation-based activity analysis and analysis of occupational performance. Students are introduced to the nature of occupation as viewed by the profession and the value of occupational engagement across diverse contexts and environments. Client factors, performance skills and patterns as well as the context and the demands of activities are considered in preparation for developing interventions in support of engagement in client-identified meaningful occupations. Prerequisite(s): Major=MS Occupational Therapy.
