Introduction to Stage Management

Catalog description

This course is a hands-on introduction to the stage manager’s jobs, duties and responsibilities. It is a detailed, step-by-step examination of the stage manager’s involvement in all of the technical aspects of theatre including the stage manager’s relationship with the playwright, director, producers, cast and technical and stage crew. Students may be responsible for the purchase of some necessary course supplies. Pre-requisite(s): THEA 100 Introduction to The Theatre or permission of department chair.
